TECH DEMO

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

KRANNERT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS LOBBY

Students from Team 4096 (Ctrl-Z) will be demonstrating the robot we built for the 2015-2016 First Robotics Competition season. Ctrl-Z is a team comprised of students from 9 schools in the Champaign-Urbana area. We were given six weeks to build, program and prepare our robot for competitions around the country. The robot drives around and is controlled remotely. It launches balls into goals using a flywheel.

About the team:

We train students in subjects ranging from designing and machining to public speaking and fundraising. We aim to encourage and assist youth in taking an interest in STEM fields, and focus on providing members with new skills, engendering their passions, and getting them experience in new environments. Ctrl-Z shows our members how science, technology, and problem-solving can be both enjoyable and viable career paths for their future. By encouraging interest in science, technology, engineering, and math, and assisting members in following their interests, we set students on a path to success.
